Samsung A04 has been equipped with a large enough storage capacity of 32GB. With internal storage of this size, it will certainly make it easier to store various files from documents, photos to music.
However, sometimes we need to move files to a thumb drive for some purpose. Well, with the OTG feature on this phone, we can transfer files or documents to a flash drive without the need to use a computer or laptop.
Prepare USB Device
The first step is to prepare a USB device such as an OTG pendrive or OTG Connector. Make sure your USB OTG device supports USB type C port. It is more recommended to use the original OTG from Samsung.
Connect USB OTG to Phone
The second step, you simply connect the USB OTG to the USB port of the Samsung A04 phone, it will automatically be detected by the phone.
Open File Manager
Once connected, you now open the My Files app on your Samsung phone. After that scroll down and tap USB Storage. Next, select the file or document to be moved, then select the Copy option.
Move Files to Phone
Now, go to the phone’s internal storage then select the folder you want to paste the files into then tap Move here. The files from the OTG pendrive will automatically be saved on your phone. You can also do the opposite, moving files from your phone to your flash drive.
How to Safely Remove OTG
If you no longer want to use OTG, do not remove it immediately but unmount it first just in case so that the data on the smartphone and pendrive remains safe (not damaged).
To unmount otg on Samsung A04, open the Notification Panel by swiping the screen from top to bottom then in the panel will tap the drop down icon (arrow down) and tap Unmount.
Alternatively, remove the USB by using the following steps: Settings > Device Care > Storage > Advanced > tap the USB drive and then tap Unmount.
